Our Year 13 English Language and English Literature students enjoyed a taster day at Newcastle University last week, experiencing what life as English Undergraduate could be like!
Our Literature students took part in a lecture that explored whether Shakespeare's 'Othello' could be considered as a domestic tragedy, and our Language students sat in on a linguistics lecture about 'Child Language Acquisition'. Thank you to Dr Emma Whipday and Dr Emma Nguyen who led the groups through such fascinating topics. Year 13 enjoyed lunch in the glorious sunshine outside the student union and before enjoying a campus tour, including a peek into the Robinson Library!
